The UVA RotundaDaniel Rodgers grew up in Virginia Beach, VA, attended Kempsville High School, graduated from the College of William & Mary, the second oldest U.S. college, and the University of Virginia School of Law, one of the top ten law schools in the nation.

William & Mary recognized Daniel the Sullivan Award and Medal, one of its three highest awards, given at graduation. While at William & Mary, Daniel assisted Cherif Bassiouni’s legal team in helpingtobring about the first UN War CrimesThe Wren Building at William & Mary College Tribunal since Nuremberg,and upon graduation was awarded the Governor's Fellowship. He was twice asked to return to the Governor's service after the fellowship ended.

While in law school at the University of Virginia, Daniel alsoworked on government commissions, including a Supreme Court Commission to change the law's lacking response to domestic violence and stalking. Daniel staffed the effective prosecution committee. While here, Daniel helped develop an emergency cell phone program in cooperation with major cell phone companies.

General Assebly Building Senate of VirginiaDaniel did his post-graduate work as a law clerk to the Honorable Norman K. Moon, A United States District Court Judge. During this time, Judge Moon by designation also served during two sessions as Judge for the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. Daniel drafted opinions at both the U.S. District and Appeals Court levels, served in federal court constantly, and participated in the resolution of cases with verdicts in the millions.

Federal Court House, Charlottesville, VADaniel served as an Assistant Attorney General, with responsibilities on the Gang Task Force, assisting the Solicitor General of Virginia, and frequently the Attorney General. Daniel drafted Virginia's anti-date-rape drug law (GHB), which successfully passed the legislature and was signed into law. Daniel prosecuted crimes, including under the domestic violence laws he had helped draft.

After years in public service, Daniel opened his own practice. He advises his clients on how to avoid problems proactively, and how to combat them should they occur. Daniel has built the firm on the professional yet personal relation he has with each Client.
